Quantum Optical Technologies (QOPT) has secured a research grant under the PhotonQBoost call to advance its core technology to a higher TRL.
21 May 2026The PhotonQBoost(https://photonqboost.eu/) grant will support further development of QOPT’s Optical Key Distribution (OKD) technology, targeting both fiber-optic and free-space optical communication scenarios. The project is scheduled to run for six months, with the ultimate ambition of validating the technology within a real-world commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) network. In the course of the project, the team will focus on developing a portable OKD system that can be deployed in field trials.
