QOPT and West Pomeranian University of Technology Partner for Development of Quantum Technologies

Quantum Optical Technologies Sp. z o.o. (QOPT) (qopt.tech) and the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (ZUT) have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement, outlining their shared intent to advance quantum technologies for secure communication.

The partnership framework encompasses collaborative research, scientific and technical projects, the development of specialized educational curricula, and professional internship programs for students.

Following the signing ceremony, a QOPT delegation led by co-founder Professor Konrad Banaszek visited the Department of Telecommunications and Photonics at ZUT’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ktif.zut.edu.pl) on April 24, 2026.

During the visit, the delegation met with the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Dr. Grzegorz Psuj, Associate Professor. The guests were also given a guided tour of the Department’s research laboratories by Dr. Grzegorz Żegliński, Associate Professor.

A major portion of the meeting was dedicated to aligning QOPT’s current research initiatives with the Department of Telecommunications and Photonics’ expertise in fiber-optic communication networks. The Department was represented by its head, Professor Patryk Urban.
